P.T. Anderson, las ranas que caen del cielo y There Will Be Blood

Una de las mejores películas que haya visto en vida es Magnolia. No es sólo un filme que cuenta con un reparto de cinco estrellas (Philip Seymour Hoffman, Julianne Moore, William H. Macy, John C. Reilly y Tom Cruise – quien para muchos ha dado la mejor actuación de su carrera en esta película); es un filme con una enorme carga emocional, con una trama increíblemente inspiradora y de los pocos que realmente me han fascinado.

Paul Thomas Anderson fue quien dirigió y escribió el guión de Magnolia. Antes, había escrito y filmado Hard Eight y Boggie Nights; después de Magnolia, dirigió y escribió Punch Drunk Love. Las cuatro películas le han merecido reconocimientos de la crítica cinematográfica Hollywoodense y mundial. Su próximo filme, There Will Be Blood, estará protagonizado por Daniel Day-Lewis (excelente en el filme Gangs of New York de Martin Scorsese). Y considerando sus trabajos anteriores, hay motivos para pensar que éste filme será digno de ser visto.
